Antonio Tahhan is a Syrian-American food writer, researcher, and storyteller whose culinary explorations celebrate the rich tapestry of global food culture. Born in Venezuela and nurtured in Miami, Tony draws on a diverse cultural heritage, with academic roots in math, economics, and Spanish literature from Cornell University. His fascination with food anthropology began during a pivotal elective course, leading him to a Fulbright Research grant in 2010, where he studied Syrian midday meals across homes, restaurants, and streets.

Based in Baltimore, Tony shares his passion for cooking and cultural exchange through engaging recipes and stories from Aleppo and beyond. He launched "Teta Thursdays," a web series that fosters virtual conversations on food, culture, and identity during the COVID pandemic, featuring insightful interviews with fellow food writers and researchers. Currently, Tony is pursuing a Master of Arts in Arab Studies at Georgetown University, further enriching his exploration of the profound connections between cuisine and humanity.
