## Description

ANTS is an innovative experimental theatre company based in London, dedicated to exploring the concept of "pointed pointlessness." Formed in 2020 during the MA/MFA program at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, ANTS comprises a diverse group of six artists from various cultural backgrounds—England, Scotland, China, South Korea, and Catalonia. Their performances, often staged across the UK, transform ordinary spaces into platforms for reflection and dialogue, merging fantasy and reality to challenge audiences and provoke thought.

Through collaborative creativity, the company crafts unique experiences that dive deep into seemingly trivial subjects and turn them into poignant narratives. Led by co-artistic directors Lu, Eva, Diana, Paul, Qiu, and Zhaolin, ANTS has gained recognition for its distinctive approach, including being shortlisted for the Bread & Roses Emerging Companies Award in 2021. With a focus on playful yet meaningful theatre, ANTS invites audiences to engage with their work and consider the complexities of identity and existence.
