## Description

ANUAL e.V. is an independent, nonprofit association dedicated to nature and environmental conservation in the Asbacher Land region of Rhineland-Palatinate, in the northern Westerwald. Founded in 1984, the association works to protect and improve valuable habitats, support biodiversity, and encourage public understanding of local environmental issues. Its activities include maintaining and restoring sites such as the Buchholzer Moor, local quarries, orchards, and the Wahler Bachtal. ANUAL also runs species-protection projects focused on bats, yellow-bellied toads, butterflies, moths, birds, and other wildlife. Alongside practical conservation, it offers public outreach and youth activities, and operates the Haus der Natur as a focus for engagement and learning. The association works with regional environmental organizations and local and wider-level authorities. People can support its work by becoming members, donating toward land acquisition and restoration, or volunteering for activities such as fruit harvesting, juice pressing, and habitat clearance. ANUAL shares updates, events, educational materials, and project information through its website and newsletter.
