## Description

Anvil is a Python-based platform for building and deploying web applications, designed to help people turn ideas and existing code into usable tools without needing to manage a traditional web development stack. Its visual drag-and-drop designer lets users create and customise interfaces, while app logic can be written in Python across the front end and back end. Anvil also handles hosting and deployment, allowing apps to be shared through a browser link.

The platform includes built-in Data Tables for storing and managing information, user account features such as sign-up and access permissions, and secure server-side handling for sensitive data. Developers can connect code running on their own computers, servers, or compute clusters through Anvil’s Uplink, and install Python packages in its server environment. Apps can also generate downloadable PDF reports.

Anvil serves Python developers, data analysts, educators, students, domain experts, and teams building internal tools or client projects. Its examples include dashboards, task managers, booking apps, ticketing systems, and expense approval tools.
