## Description

The Australian and New Zealand Association of Antiquarian Booksellers (ANZAAB) is a member organisation representing dealers in antiquarian and rare books, manuscripts, and related materials across Australia and New Zealand. Established in 1977, it is one of 22 members of the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB). ANZAAB supports the standing, welfare, and growth of the regional antiquarian book trade, promotes professional standards, and represents the trade’s interests on matters affecting bookselling, collecting, and library policy.

The association helps readers and collectors discover its members and their stock through an online directory, bookshop listings, searchable inventories, and members’ catalogues. Its website also features news, member interviews, and information about book fairs and other activities, including the Australian Antiquarian Book Fair. ANZAAB encourages accurate descriptions and responsible, honourable practices in the trade. Its members follow ILAB’s Code of Usages and Customs, which requires professional descriptions and guarantees the authenticity and genuineness of material offered for sale. Collectors can also subscribe to updates about events, catalogues, and rare books.
