## Description

The Australian and New Zealand Society of Criminology (ANZSOC) is a professional society dedicated to advancing criminological study, research and practice in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. Established in 1967, it brings together people working across the field, including researchers, educators and practitioners. Through its membership and activities, ANZSOC supports the exchange of ideas and collaboration across a broad range of criminological interests.

Members can access a reduced registration fee for the society’s annual conference, a subscription to the Journal of Criminology, seminars and workshops on developments in crime and criminology, and opportunities to meet visiting scholars. The society also offers grants and funding for local events, thematic groups and teaching innovation, alongside prizes and awards for criminological work. Its thematic groups connect members around topics such as cybercrime, policing, corporate crime, Pacific criminology, gender and criminal justice, and Indigenous and decolonial approaches. ANZSOC provides conference information, events, news, resources and electronic journal access, helping members engage with current research and developments across the region.
