## Description

AOA Foundation is a brand dedicated to promoting diversity and equity in the optometric profession. In collaboration with the American Optometric Association (AOA) and the American Optometric Student Association (AOSA), they have established the AOA/AOSA Opportunities in Optometry Grant program. This program offers a one-time stipend to under-represented minority students who are interested in pursuing a career in optometry. The grant aims to assist these students in defraying the costs associated with applying to optometry school, ensuring that they have equal opportunities to succeed. In addition to the grant program, AOA Foundation supports various initiatives, such as InfantSEE®, a no-cost public health program that provides professional eye care for infants nationwide. They also offer Student Scholarships for third-year optometry students, providing financial support to those who demonstrate exceptional potential. Furthermore, their Optometry's Fund for Disaster Relief offers assistance to doctors of optometry and optometry students affected by natural disasters. AOA Foundation's mission is to empower the optometric profession by increasing awareness and accessibility to health and vision care for the public.
