## Description

The APA Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the mental health and well-being of individuals and communities across the United States. Operating under the American Psychiatric Association, the foundation focuses on promoting mental health literacy and improving access to care through a variety of impactful programs. Among these are the Notice. Talk. Act.® initiatives aimed at schools and workplaces, which train staff and employees to identify mental health warning signs and connect those in need with resources. 

The foundation also supports the mental health of specific populations, including youth at schools, individuals in the justice system, and employees in workplaces. Additionally, it fosters partnerships with faith leaders to integrate mental health support within community settings. 

With a history of training over 2,000 early-career psychiatrists through fellowship programs, the APA Foundation seeks to cultivate future leaders in mental health. Its mission reflects a vision of a mentally healthy nation where individuals can thrive in all aspects of life—be it at home, school, or work.
