## Description

KOINSEP Apano Meria is a social cooperative enterprise based on Syros, Greece, working to protect and promote the island’s natural and cultural heritage, particularly that of Apano Meria. Guided by research, culture and volunteering, the organisation aims to help build a sustainable future for the island and connect local communities with their surroundings.

Its activities include environmental education, research and volunteer initiatives, alongside projects focused on Precious Plastic, electric bicycles and coworking. The cooperative also organises community events and outdoor activities, including beach clean-ups, cycling outings, board game evenings and programmes celebrating traditional dry-stone building. Its published activities and events provide opportunities for residents and visitors to learn, participate and collaborate.

KOINSEP Apano Meria welcomes cooperation and encourages people to get involved in its work. Based in Ermoupoli, the organisation brings together practical environmental action and cultural engagement, supporting awareness of Syros’s landscapes, traditions and shared heritage through projects and activities throughout the year.
