About

Description

Asian Pacific Development Center (APDC) is a renowned brand that has been serving immigrant and refugee communities since its establishment in 1980. APDC was formed by a group of compassionate Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) leaders who recognized the urgent mental health needs of refugees resettling in Colorado after the Vietnam War. Motivated by their concerns about the high prevalence of mental health issues like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and depression, these leaders opened a mental health clinic under the APDC umbrella.

Over the past four decades, APDC has continuously evolved to meet the growing needs of the community. With a team comprised of social workers, attorneys, psychologists, and psychiatrists, APDC provides culturally and linguistically responsive assistance to ensure effective healing and support. Furthermore, APDC adopts a holistic approach, focusing on health, education, and advocacy to empower immigrant and refugee communities in achieving overall well-being.

The ultimate goal of APDC is to create healthy and empowered communities. Through their wide range of services, including adult education, behavioral health, victim assistance, and more, APDC plays a vital role in supporting and serving these communities. They are driven by the vision of a society where everyone has access to the resources and support they need to thrive
