## Description

The Australian Pig Doggers and Hunters Association (APDHA) is a national membership organisation formed in 2005 to support responsible, legal and ethical hunting, with particular emphasis on hunters who use trained dogs for feral pig control. It provides members with guidance on hunting law, animal welfare, safety and biosecurity, and advocates for hunting through research on its economic, environmental, cultural and wellbeing contributions.

Full hunting members can access public liability and personal accident insurance for legal recreational hunting across Australia. Other member resources include land-access and risk-management documents, standard operating procedures, a biosecurity plan, and a Permission to Hunt record booklet. The association is an approved hunting organisation under NSW law, and members may be eligible to apply for a restricted game hunting licence; it also participates in access arrangements for certain Northern Territory national parks, subject to conditions.

APDHA offers membership and renewal services, education and training, disease information, recommended veterinary contacts, research resources, events and merchandise.
