## Description

ApeCoin is a brand that is part of the web3 economy, offering a decentralized protocol layer for community-led initiatives that drive culture forward into the metaverse. It is a token designed to support and empower the community, allowing ApeCoin holders to participate in the ApeCoin DAO and contribute to governance decisions. The APE Foundation acts as the steward of ApeCoin, providing decentralized and community-led governance. It ensures the day-to-day administration and support needed for the DAO community's ideas to become a reality. ApeCoin serves multiple purposes within the ecosystem, including governance, unification of spend, access to exclusive parts of the ecosystem, and incentivization for third-party developers. The total supply of ApeCoin is fixed, and it will be distributed among different groups, such as the DAO treasury, launch contributors, and BAYC/MAYC NFT holders. BAYC and MAYC NFT holders can claim their ApeCoin tokens based on the difference in floor prices of the NFT collections. ApeCoin is innovatively advancing the web3 economy, empowering the community, and shaping the future of culture in the metaverse.
