APEFE asbl, or the Association for the Promotion of Education and Training Abroad, is dedicated to providing quality education and training in various countries across the world, including Algeria, Benin, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Haiti, Laos, Morocco, Mauritania, Palestine, DRC, Rwanda, Senegal, and Vietnam. Through partnerships with organizations like Wallonie-Bruxelles International, Enabel, UCLouvain, COPED, and APEFE, they offer opportunities for education and training in fields such as physiotherapy and rehabilitation. They have successfully supported the education of Burundian individuals, with the recent proclamation of Dr.

Ildephonse Nduwimana as the first ever Burundian doctor in kinésithérapie and réadaptation from the Université catholique de Louvain. APEFE also organizes conferences, such as the East Africa Physiotherapy Scientific Conference, and sponsors programs like the restoration of ecosystems in the Central Plateau region of Burkina Faso.
