## Description

APEX Museum is a cultural and educational institution in Atlanta, Georgia, dedicated to preserving, protecting, and promoting Black history. Located at 135 Auburn Avenue NE, the museum welcomes visitors Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Its offerings include exhibitions, educational programs, events, group tours, and school field trips, with tickets available for purchase online.

A featured exhibition, Sweet Auburn: Before, During & Beyond 1906, explores the Atlanta Race Massacre and the history of the Sweet Auburn neighborhood. Through photographs, archival documents, oral histories, maps, and immersive storytelling, it examines the community’s thriving Black life before the violence, the events of the massacre, and the resilience that shaped the years afterward. Visitors can also explore other exhibits and learning resources.

The museum supports its work through donations and community initiatives, helping safeguard artifacts and cultural legacies while sustaining exhibits and educational programming. APEX Museum also shares updates about events and activities through its APEX Loop email list, and its website provides visitor information, directions, FAQs, and ways to get involved.
