## Description

The Associação de Professores de História (APH) is a scientific and educational association for History teachers across all levels and stages of education. It supports the teaching and study of History through professional development, educational resources, events and opportunities for collaboration. Its training programme includes courses and other accredited activities, while its events encompass congresses, conferences, talks, study visits, competitions and the History Olympiads.

APH also publishes and shares materials for educators, including journals, bulletins, e-books, articles, teaching resources and guidance on curricula and examinations. Its resources address subjects such as Portuguese history, women in Portuguese history, slavery in the Portuguese Empire, distance learning and history education. The association promotes national and international projects, including initiatives that use educational games and explore the history and oral traditions of Portuguese Roma communities. It also works with universities, museums, municipalities and other partner institutions. Members receive access to exclusive website content, priority registration and discounts on activities offered by APH and its partners.
