## Description

APISTOM, the Federation of Provincial Associations for People with Incontinence and Ostomies, is a non-profit, apolitical volunteer organization based in Turin, Italy. Its members include people living with an ostomy, nurses, enterostomal therapists, doctors, and others who support its work. The organization’s main purpose is to protect the rights of people affected by incontinence and ostomies and to promote awareness and support within the community.

Through its provincial associations in Turin, Alessandria, Asti, Biella, and Cuneo, APISTOM connects members and shares information about ostomies and incontinence. Its website provides educational material, articles, legal information, news, photographs, and videos, as well as listings of care centers for ostomy and incontinence services. The federation also highlights volunteer activities, including visitor support, and encourages people to join or contribute through donations and Italy’s 5×1000 tax donation program. APISTOM advises people seeking solutions or guidance on ostomy management to contact the care centers listed on its website. Its work aims to support people’s rights and well-being while helping them face daily life with confidence.
