## Description

A Plus Benefit Auctions helps nonprofits and schools in San Jose and the Bay Area plan and run fundraising galas. Led by Dr. Ben Gonzales, a certified Benefit Auctioneer Specialist, the business combines professional auctioneering with practical support before, during, and after each event. Ben’s background as an educator, school administrator, and YMCA program director informs his work with community organizations.

Services include pre-auction consultations, event timeline and program planning, live-item ordering, item acquisition support, and advice on sound, lighting, and venue considerations. A Plus also provides auction-event services such as live auctioneering, fund-a-need or paddle-raise appeals, silent-auction hosting, and fundraising games. Available supplies include paddle numbers, clerk materials, tally programs, drink tickets, and silent-auction bid sheets. The process concludes with a post-event evaluation to help organizations plan future galas.

Fees can be structured as a flat rate, a percentage of funds raised, or a sponsor-underwritten arrangement. A Plus Benefit Auctions also offers a free, downloadable 12-month gala planning guide to help committees organize key tasks and deliverables.
