## Description

Founded in 1984, the firm has grown into one of New York’s respected design practices, guided by a belief that thoughtful buildings begin with understanding the people who use them. Its collaborative process involves clients throughout planning and design, with an emphasis on listening, strong relationships, and creating places that reflect each client’s goals and serve their communities.

architecture+ provides expertise in mental health, higher education, housing, planning, interiors, historic preservation, building science, and sustainability. Its work includes behavioral health facilities, colleges and universities, housing developments, and community projects. The firm’s portfolio features projects such as the Behavioral Health Pavilion at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital, SUNY Oneonta facilities, and mixed-use development in Schenectady. Across its services and projects, architecture+ combines design with practical considerations such as budget development, institutional integration, and landscaping to support meaningful, functional places.
