## Description

The Associação Portuguesa de Psicogerontologia (APP) is a Portuguese association focused on ageing and the wellbeing, rights and social inclusion of older people. It promotes active ageing and shares information with professionals, families, caregivers and the wider public through articles, news, practical resources and educational content. Its website covers topics including geriatrics, health and longevity, demography, social policy, elder rights, age-friendly cities, prevention of mistreatment, housing and innovation in ageing.

APP also supports learning and collaboration through training, educational projects and themed action groups, bringing attention to areas such as gerontomotricity, cybersecurity, social information and research. The association presents the Prémio Envelhecimento Ativo Dra. Maria Raquel Ribeiro, recognising contributions to active ageing across fields including social intervention, arts, science, citizenship, health, and family and community life. Visitors can explore publications, a library, useful links, testimonies and current information, while individuals may learn how to become members or support the association. Through these activities, APP works to encourage an informed, inclusive society for people of all ages.
