## Description

The International Society for Applied Ethology (ISAE) is a professional society dedicated to the scientific study of applied animal behaviour. It serves people interested in the behaviour and welfare of confined or domesticated animals, including companion, farm, zoo, and managed wild species. With nearly 700 members worldwide, the Society connects researchers and others working in applied animal behaviour science.

ISAE supports knowledge-sharing through its annual International Congress, where members present research and hear keynote speakers, as well as regular regional conferences that encourage local exchange. Its website provides information about member research papers, newsletters, ethical guidelines, and educational resources. Members can also access opportunities for collaboration and support with English-language writing.

The Society promotes professional development through employment and graduate-position listings, and recognises contributions with its Creativity, New Investigator, and EDIA awards. It offers membership services, including member benefits, registration, and access to a members’ area. ISAE is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation and welcomes people seeking to learn, collaborate, and advance understanding of animal behaviour and welfare.
