## Description

The Portuguese Association of Natural Plant and Flower Producers (APPP-FN) is a national organization established on 15 February 1982 to support and develop Portugal’s ornamental horticulture sector. It represents producers across the country, including growers of ornamental plants and cut flowers, and works to defend their rights and address their needs. The association connects professionals across a broad range of horticultural activities, such as plant nurseries, foliage and cut-flower production, turf, trees and shrubs, aromatic plants, and edible flowers. Rather than selling these products directly, APPP-FN promotes the interests and visibility of the producers who grow them. Its activities include sharing industry information, maintaining resources for members and partners, and organizing events, exhibitions, conferences, and seminars. The association is also responsible for LUSOFLORA, a trade fair focused on flowers and ornamental plants; its 2027 edition is announced for 25 and 26 February under the theme of producing in Portugal for European markets through innovation and greater production value. APPP-FN additionally supports initiatives promoting the importance of green spaces.
