## Description

Associação Progressiva de Santo António do Alva (APSAA) is a community-focused social solidarity institution serving Santo António do Alva and the surrounding region. Founded in 1966, it has more than five decades of experience supporting local residents and promoting dignity, inclusion, well-being, and active community life.

APSAA provides social care through home support and a Day Centre, helping people receive assistance and maintain opportunities for companionship and participation. Its work also includes a multidisciplinary team and a range of cultural, recreational, and sporting activities for the community. These include a folk-dance group, a musical ensemble known as a tuna, and sports and youth programs.

The association supports its services with community facilities, including a multipurpose pavilion, sports field, social and leisure spaces, and Parque Francisco Saraiva dos Santos. Through its combination of care, cultural activities, and sport, APSAA aims to strengthen community ties and preserve local traditions while encouraging an active life.
