## Description

Aquajardin is a volunteer-run information and community website created as an initiative of Anne and Yves Wouters. It explores the natural world through garden ponds, water gardens, wildlife and aquatic plants, helping visitors plan, build and care for a pond while discovering the life it can support. The site publishes practical articles, detailed guides and reports on pond design, filtration, pumps, aeration, maintenance, water loss, fish care and pond construction, alongside advice about plants, amphibians and other aquatic wildlife. Topics also extend to natural pools, aquariums and wider garden projects. Visitors can follow the development of a model pond, browse photographs and videos, consult seasonal work calendars and nature-event listings, and take part in the Aquajardin forum to ask questions or share experience. The site also features a newsletter, an online bookshop and information about selected online retailers and promotions. Aquajardin invites pond owners to contribute reports and practical projects, and runs an annual DIY contest for residents of Belgium and metropolitan France.
