- **Website:** <https://arablit.org>
- **Primary alias:** `arablit.org`

## Description

ArabLit and ArabLit Quarterly are prominent platforms dedicated to the world of Arabic literature and its translation. Founded in 2009, this crowd-funded collective operates a vibrant website, a quarterly magazine, and a selective book series under ALQ Books. Their mission revolves around bringing Arabic literatures to a broader audience, engaging with works from across the Arab world through high-quality translations. The ArabLit Quarterly features a diverse array of literary content, including poetry, short fiction, and essays, while also providing insights into the translation process and interviews with authors and translators. Additionally, the collective publishes limited-edition books, with notable titles such as a collection of short stories by Samira Azzam. Supported largely by subscriptions and a small number of advertisers, ArabLit emphasizes its independence from institutional affiliations. It encourages community engagement through donations and contributions, reinforcing its role as a vital resource for scholars, students, and literature enthusiasts alike.
