ARCC, or Animal Rescue of Crosby County, is a dedicated organization founded in January 2015 by a compassionate group of citizens. With a heartfelt mission to make a difference in the lives of discarded and neglected pets in Crosby County, ARCC has become an essential part of the community. As an all-volunteer program, they work tirelessly to provide care and shelter for animals in need.

ARCC received their nonprofit 501(c)(3) status in April 2015, and with the generous support of friends of the rescue, Jim and Mary Parkhill, they acquired a significant piece of land for their facility. Over the years, ARCC has successfully held fundraisers and received donations to construct kennels, install fences, and build an isolation building. In addition to their on-site location, ARCC has also implemented an effective short-term foster home program.

This program allows dogs to be housed and cared for in a home setting until they find their forever homes or can be accommodated at the facility. This invaluable program ensures that no animal is left without care, even when the kennels are full.
