## Description

Archio is a London-based architecture practice directed by Kyle Buchanan and Mellis Haward, specialising in housing and public buildings. With more than a decade of experience designing homes and neighbourhoods, the practice believes that great housing supports great living. Its approach is grounded in conversation: engaging residents and communities to understand what matters to them and shape better design.

Archio works with local authorities, housing associations, community-led organisations and developers, partnering with clients who value collaboration and long-term success. Its services include architectural design for homes, workshops, co-design and creative strategies. The practice also develops approaches to community engagement and housing, including retrofit strategy and neighbourhood planning.

Projects highlighted by Archio include Citizens House, a London community land trust development of 11 homes; Morris Blitz, with 19 homes; and the Becontree Future House retrofit strategy, covering 27,000 homes. The practice presents its work as a way to create not only houses, but homes and stronger communities.
