## Description

LGBTQIA+ Archives is dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich and diverse history of the LGBTQIA+ community. Founded in 2019 by Winter Cashman, who combines over a decade of software development experience with a passion for safeguarding queer history, the initiative has evolved from a small project into a comprehensive digital archive. This free, searchable resource allows educators, researchers, and history enthusiasts to explore the past effortlessly.

The primary mission is to make LGBTQIA+ history accessible while fostering an inclusive education portal that highlights voices and stories from the community. Plans are underway to further enhance this platform, ensuring that more resources become available to the public. Collaboration with like-minded organizations is embraced to keep queer history visible and protected. By harnessing technology, LGBTQIA+ Archives aims to innovate historical research and preservation, ensuring that the stories of the LGBTQIA+ community are not only safeguarded but celebrated for future generations.
