## Description

Hawai‘i Area Committee, also known as Hawai‘i Area 17, supports Alcoholics Anonymous service and communication across districts throughout the Hawaiian Islands. Its work connects local groups and trusted servants with area committees, assemblies, and wider A.A. service activities. The website provides resources for General Service Representatives, District Committee Members, officers, delegates, and committee volunteers, including meeting materials, reports, schedules, guidelines, archives, forms, and service kits.

Area 17 coordinates assemblies and committee meetings, shares information about elections and budgets, and offers practical support such as assembly registration, transportation, and homestay contacts. Its standing committees address a range of service needs, including cooperation with professional and elder communities, corrections, public information, treatment and accessibility, archives, and Grapevine publications. The committee also publishes the Mynah Bird newsletter and shares General Service Conference materials and regional event recordings.

Hawai‘i Area Committee provides information about the Seventh Tradition and how to contribute to area and district service. Guided by A.A.’s Declaration of Unity, it helps members participate in service and sustain the fellowship across Hawai‘i.
