## Description

Areterra is a registered charity and specialist day opportunity service in Worcestershire, supporting adults with learning disabilities and associated conditions. Its purpose is to help people build confidence, independence and wellbeing through practical, hands-on experiences and meaningful connections. Based in Franche, Kidderminster, Areterra offers activities that include therapeutic animal sessions, where participants care for and interact with animals such as macaws and rabbits. Other opportunities include woodwork and DIY projects, cooking and everyday living skills, and horticulture, from planting to maintaining outdoor spaces. The service also organises trips and outings that support community experiences, alongside shared activities and celebrations. Areterra encourages prospective participants and their supporters to learn about eligibility, funding and referrals, then arrange a first visit to meet the team, see the animals and explore the setting. The charity welcomes community support and acknowledges its supporters and funders, including grants awarded through two separate awards. Its regular opening days are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
