# Arhej - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `arhej.com` ## Description Arhej d.o.o. is a Slovenian archaeological research company established in 1998, specialising primarily in preliminary archaeological investigations. Its team and equipment support a wide range of work, including historical analysis, assessment of archaeological potential through core drilling, field surveys and test excavations, and archaeological documentation during construction. The company also carries out excavations, including in challenging urban settings, and processes recovered materials in its own conservation and restoration workshop. Its services include preparing conservation plans and management plans. In 2011, Arhej registered its own research and development group, the Institute for Geoarchaeology, with Slovenia’s public research agency. Alongside research, the company shares discoveries with the public through lectures, presentations, exhibitions and publications, some translated into English. Through its T.R.A.P. Centre for Research into the Past, Arhej develops educational activities for children and young people.
