## Description

Arial is an upcoming Mac email client from Carte Ltd, designed for people who spend much of their day in email. It works with Gmail and Google Workspace, combining a fast, keyboard-driven interface with tools to help users manage messages and respond efficiently. Familiar Gmail shortcuts, command search, in-place replies and quick archiving are intended to keep everyday tasks moving.

Arial offers inbox sorting into categories, with AI-assisted organization and a “Need you” view that highlights questions and unanswered invitations. Users can summarize long email threads and get help drafting replies, which they can edit before sending. A people sidebar brings conversations together by contact, with details based on Google Contacts.

Privacy is a central part of the product’s approach: mail syncs directly between Google and the Mac, and Arial says it does not store a copy of the mailbox on its servers. AI features are off by default, with users choosing whether to enable them.
