## Description

The Aristotelian Society is a UK charity founded in 1880, dedicated to philosophy and known for its longstanding programme of discussion and scholarly publishing. The Society meets fortnightly in London, where speakers present philosophical talks for attendees to hear and discuss. Its publications include the Proceedings of the Aristotelian Society, described as one of the world’s leading philosophy journals, and a Supplementary Volume containing papers presented at the Joint Session. The Society also offers a book series, special issues featuring classic papers and contemporary commentaries, and a podcast featuring the Proceedings.

The Society organises the Joint Session with the Mind Association, which it describes as the UK’s largest philosophy conference. Its programme includes opportunities to submit papers and participate in events. To support the wider philosophy community, the Society offers conference grants and student bursaries, including student subsidies. Membership provides a way to support its activities, and its online shop offers items for purchase.
