Anderson Regional Joint Water System (ARJWS) is a partnership of rural and municipal water districts located at 998 Hunters Trail, Anderson, SC 29625. ARJWS sources its water from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers 55,000-acre Lake Hartwell Reservoir, situated along the border of Upstate South Carolina and Georgia. Operating 24/7, the plant has a current capacity of 45 million gallons a day (MGD). ARJWS utilizes a conventional filtration system, which includes flocculation, sedimentation, and filtration processes. Their state-of-the-art filters, consisting of gravel, sand, and carbon, effectively eliminate 99.9% of particulate matter from the water. Additionally, the finished water is chlorinated to ensure the prevention of bacterial growth, guaranteeing the delivery of the highest quality water to their customers.
