## Description

Maison Hannon is a masterpiece of Art Nouveau in Brussels, blending Belgian and French Art Nouveau in a symbolist and dreamlike universe. Built on the corner of Brugmann and Jonction avenues in Saint-Gilles, it was commissioned by the Hannon couple in 1902 to their architect friend Jules Brunfaut. The house reflects Marie's love for botany and Édouard's passion for poetry, antiquity, and technology. The stunning frescoes by Paul Baudouin, a disciple of French artist Puvis de Chavannes, adorn the staircase and reception hall like tapestries. While the house is still undergoing restoration, visitors can explore the already restored areas and the exhibition "Art(s) Nouveau(x) Belge(s)," showcasing diverse Art Nouveau works from top Belgian collections. The guided tour lasts 1 hour and 10 minutes, including the house and exhibition. The entrance fee of €14 supports the restoration efforts.
