## Description

ACOM (Arkansas Coalition of Marshallese) is a brand dedicated to empowering the Marshallese community in Arkansas. Through culturally sensitive programs, education, leadership, and policy advocacy, ACOM aims to create a thriving community for the Marshallese people. One of their key focuses is on health and wellness, with efforts to prevent diabetes, improve access to healthcare, and promote a healthy lifestyle. ACOM has successfully advocated for Marshallese children to be included in the ARKids insurance program. They also provide social services, education, and advocacy to help Marshallese individuals integrate into their community. This includes assistance with government documents, drivers license preparation, financial literacy classes, and adoption counseling. ACOM is proud to share the culture of the Marshall Islands with Arkansas, offering cultural training, workshops, interpreting, and translation services. With representatives actively sharing the Marshallese story locally and internationally, ACOM is a steady presence and an essential resource for the Marshallese community in Arkansas.
