## Description

Arkivfinder is an innovative online platform designed to aggregate search functionality for various municipal archives in Denmark. It allows users to search individual archives or access a collective database of archival collections across twenty different municipal archives. Each municipal archive consists of numerous records created by diverse institutions, businesses, and individuals, all organized in a structured hierarchy for easy navigation.

The platform supports advanced search options, enabling users to refine searches by creator, archive, or archive series. Users can either explore single municipal collections or search across all available archives seamlessly. Arkivfinder is particularly user-friendly, with a comprehensive guide to assist visitors in navigating the system effectively.

Additionally, any materials ordered through Arkivfinder can be accessed at the reading rooms of the respective municipal archives. For inquiries regarding orders or specific archival materials, users are directed to contact the relevant municipal archive directly. This service fosters a greater understanding and appreciation of local histories and preserves essential records for future generations.
