## Description

Arkona Arche Tierhilfe International e.V. is a nonprofit animal welfare association founded in 2009, originally as Hundehilfe Russland. Based in Germany, the organization works to protect animals in Russia and other countries, supporting local animal welfare advocates and shelters. Its mission is to rescue animals from difficult circumstances and provide care, safety, and the chance of a better future.

The association looks after elderly, sick, and abandoned animals, arranging appropriate care and medical attention. It places dogs in loving homes internationally, working with trusted partners and providing information about the adoption process. Arkona Arche also promotes spaying and neutering to reduce uncontrolled breeding and animal suffering, and supports improvements to shelter conditions through ongoing projects.

Its assistance includes financial contributions, donations, and material aid for shelters and animal rescuers. With more than 200 members, the association relies on donations, volunteers, and community support to continue its work. Visitors can learn about current projects, fundraising appeals, adoption opportunities, and ways to help through the organization’s website.
