## Description

Arkona is an engaging online historical journal dedicated to exploring the realms of world history and archaeology. It aims to cultivate a passion for these subjects among youth and the general public, making history accessible beyond conventional textbooks. Contrary to claiming high academic status, Arkona's contributions are underpinned by rigorous scholarly principles, actively dismissing pseudo-historical narratives.

The website features various resources, including articles on historical reconstruction, experimental archaeology, and historical fencing, alongside thematic blogs like “North Remembers” and “Great Scythia.” Originating from a local historical project focused on Petropavlovsk and Northern Kazakhstan’s archaeology, Arkona has evolved into a broad platform showcasing diverse publications and expert insights from a dedicated team of historians, archaeologists, and designers.

Arkona operates as a nonprofit endeavor, funded by the personal resources of its founder, with contributors volunteering their materials to promote historical enlightenment. Join Arkona in the journey of historical discovery, and together we can combat the negative impact of illegal archaeology, advocating for knowledge and understanding.
