Arlington Independent Media (AIM) is a community-based organization that has been providing video production equipment, facilities, and training since 1982. They offer access to a basic cable television channel on a first-come, first-served basis, allowing members to produce powerful local media content that showcases the people, places, organizations, businesses, and events in the community. Their facility in Clarendon boasts state-of-the-art media-making tools, including an HD three-camera television studio, an audio production suite, editing stations, a Mac computer lab, and a mobile production van. In addition, AIM launched Radio Arlington (WERA-LP 96. 7 FM) in December 2015, further meeting the needs of the diverse population of Arlington County and the DC metro area.
With comprehensive training opportunities and a commitment to independent media production, AIM creates a platform for diverse creators to share their voices and stories with the community
