## Description

**Canada Army Run**

Canada Army Run is a unique and inspiring annual event that celebrates the spirit of camaraderie between the Canadian Armed Forces and civilians. Established in 2008, this spirited event includes a variety of races — the half marathon, 10K, and 5K, plus specialized challenges like the Commander’s Challenge and the Ortona Challenge, designed to engage a wide range of participants, including those with disabilities. With roots tracing back to a vision sparked by Lieutenant-General Beare during a race in Washington D.C., the run has grown significantly, attracting over 11,000 participants in some years. Military personnel, veterans, and civilians join together to promote fitness while honoring the sacrifices made by service members. The event is not only a race but a heartfelt expression of gratitude, featuring iconic dog tag medals and a supportive environment for all. With a strong focus on community and advocacy, Canada Army Run embodies the spirit of “supporting our troops,” making it a significant occasion for all Canadians.
