## Description

The Arribada Club is an after-school STEM education programme that gives children aged 10 to 12 free, weekly classes in technology and environmental conservation. It operates three Clubs: its first opened in Príncipe in 2017, followed by a venue on Maio, Cape Verde, in 2023, and one near Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya in 2024. Each classroom serves around 16 students, and the programme currently spans three school years.

Lessons introduce students to information technology, computer science, programming and conservation technology, showing how these skills can support environmental work. The Clubs collaborate with local conservation projects, including the Arribada sea turtle tagging programme. They are part of the Arribada Initiative, which works to increase access to conservation technology through affordable, open-source design.

The organisation also shares stories, detailed lesson plans and educational materials for wider use. Its milestones include creating a natural history collection and IUCN Red List wall in Príncipe, and receiving the 2022 EarthRanger Conservation Tech Award.
