## Description

Artha India Ventures is an investment platform that backs ambitious founders and businesses working on ideas with meaningful impact. Its investment approach combines renewable energy with startup investing: the group invests in high-yielding renewable energy assets and uses proceeds from those assets to fund startups, then reinvests returns from successful exits in renewable energy. This model is designed to create a continuing cycle of investment.

Artha says its strategy is guided by deep experience identifying opportunities early, theme-driven focus, market insight, and a network of strategic partners. Its Centers of Excellence and dedicated team provide direct support to current and prospective portfolio companies.

The portfolio spans a range of sectors and business models, including beauty and men’s grooming products, budget hotels, parenting, peer-to-peer lending, fitness wearables, accessible wheelchairs, cab booking, data analytics, secure enterprise file sharing, and adaptive learning for students. The wider Artha family includes Artha Energy Resources, focused on renewable energy, and Artha Venture Fund, an early-stage, sector-agnostic fund investing across geographies.
