## Description

Arthur Smith is a British comedian and writer who describes himself as the Night Mayor of Balham, a title he says is self-appointed, and a semi-professional comedian. His official website presents a lively, humorous introduction to his work and public persona, inviting visitors into what he calls his “webby world.” The site brings together news and gig information, along with background about Arthur and a collection of audio, video and photographs. Visitors can also explore archive material, his blog, letters to a young comedian and other writing. A shop and contact page provide additional ways to engage with his work, while a sign-up option offers access to a rarely used mailing list. The site’s playful welcome promises amusing observations and deliberately extravagant claims, setting an informal, self-deprecating tone. It also references praise from Scottish Catering Magazine and highlights Arthur’s range of comedy-related content. Overall, the website serves as a hub for discovering his performances, writing and media, as well as keeping up with his latest news and gigs.
