## Description

Artima is a leading brand that has been at the forefront of the Scala community for over a decade. They have made significant contributions to the Scala ecosystem, starting with the publication of the first book on Scala, Programming in Scala, co-authored by the language's designer, Martin Odersky, in 2008. In addition, Artima offers Scala training, having hosted the first public training course in Scala in 2010. One of Artima's main offerings is ScalaTest, a widely used library in the Scala open source community. They also provide consulting and training services to help businesses leverage Scala, reactive and functional programming, enterprise systems, big data, and testing. Their team is distributed globally and operates with the agility of a startup, while maintaining a close-knit, family-like dynamic. Artima's president, Bill Venners, also holds a significant role as a community representative on the Scala Center Advisory Board. Located in Walnut Creek, California, Artima is dedicated to helping individuals and organizations maximize their use of Scala and its related technologies.
