## Description

Art In The Open, also known as Art à ciel ouvert, is a brand that hosts a free annual summer event in Charlottetown. This vibrant event highlights the city's lively art scene, its downtown heritage spaces, exhibition venues, and diverse cultural traditions by transforming the downtown core into an open-air art gallery. Taking place in historic downtown Charlottetown, the event's focal points include Victoria Park, the Confederation Centre of the Arts, Victoria Row, Rochford Square, and Connaught Square. Emphasizing the importance of urban green spaces, Art In The Open celebrates and showcases a range of ephemeral visual art forms, such as installations, screenings, performance art, theatre, dance, portable sculpture, and other temporary art pieces. The festival encourages community participation and offers visitors the opportunity to explore, ask questions, and engage with the art in various forms.
