## Description

Artisana is a Swiss foundation that helps small and medium-sized businesses strengthen workplace health and employee wellbeing. Founded in 1952 in Bern as a daily sickness-benefit insurer, it later helped establish Helsana and remains a minority shareholder. Building on its roots, Artisana has developed into a partner for businesses seeking practical ways to create healthier, more supportive workplaces. Since 2021, it has operated as a foundation committed to the public good.

Artisana offers practical information, free advice and networking opportunities focused on employee health, motivation and satisfaction. Its free workplace assessments include an initial discussion and further guidance for businesses in trades, crafts, construction and manufacturing. The foundation also hosts events and talks, shares stories and resources, and connects businesses to exchange ideas and experience. These initiatives help employers identify strengths and opportunities to improve working conditions, with the aim of supporting productivity, innovation and staff retention while reducing absences and turnover.
