## Description

Art & Soul of the Catskills is a community festival based in Delhi, New York, celebrating regional creativity, music, food, and culture. Its programming brings together artists, craftspeople, performers, local businesses, and visitors for an event rooted in the character of the Catskills. The festival showcases work across a range of mediums, including painting, photography, jewelry, pottery, mosaics, textiles, and woodwork, with opportunities to meet artists and purchase their creations. Demonstrations, such as wool spinning, add an interactive element and highlight locally inspired craft.

Live entertainment is another central feature, with scheduled performances spanning blues, rock, folk, bluegrass, children’s music, and other styles. Festival food vendors offer dishes and treats including barbecue, salads, quesadillas, burgers, maple cotton candy, Italian ice, and gelato. The event also features free tastings of New York wines, while a local distillery is promoted separately for absinthe tastings at a Delhi wine and spirits shop. Art & Soul of the Catskills invites community participation through volunteer roles supporting visitor information, hospitality, vendor booths, event evaluation, and festival setup and cleanup.
