About

Description

ArtsBT: Improving Lives Through the Power of Arts Arts for a Better Tomorrow (ABT) is a non-profit organization on a mission to empower underprivileged youth through the arts. ABT recognizes the challenges faced by abandoned youth transitioning into adulthood and uses the arts as a transformative tool to overcome trauma and learning barriers. For over 12 years, ABT has successfully run privately funded programs in Tijuana, Mexico, Southern California, and Baja California.

Led by actor and director José Yenque, ABT brings a unique rehabilitative and therapeutic arts-based program to North America. By creating a positive, nurturing environment, ABT's programs heal, inspire, and empower youth. They offer therapeutic programs, arts education, and college/career readiness initiatives to ensure that every student is equipped with essential life skills.

ABT's trauma-informed programs combine art with elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness to address issues like anxiety, depression, violence prevention, and drug abuse prevention. These programs also provide academic support, language learning, and educational field trips. By joining forces with skilled artists, educators, and interns from the United States and Mexico, ABT creates a supportive community dedicated to transforming lives through the arts.

You can contribute to ABT's mission by volunteering, cooperating, or making a donation. Your contribution will make a powerful difference in the lives of these young individuals, preparing them for a healthy, productive, and self-sustaining future. Choose to be part of ArtsBT's growing family today and help make a lasting impact through the transformative power of the arts.
