## Description

The Art History Wiki is a groundbreaking initiative aimed at organizing and democratizing access to art information globally. Born out of a passion for art, it addresses the common challenge of dispersed art knowledge across various museum catalogs, ensuring that every artwork has a clear and accessible entry. This comprehensive platform not only catalogs thousands of paintings but also connects art lovers through a social network designed for sharing and discovery. Users can explore detailed records of artworks, including data on style, dimensions, and origins, while easily navigating the relationships between different pieces.

To sustain its mission, The Art History Wiki is funded by Art & See, which offers hand-painted oil reproductions of the artworks featured in the wiki. Each purchase helps maintain the encyclopedia, providing an avenue for art enthusiasts to engage with and support the project. With over 33,000 cataloged works from hundreds of museums, The Art History Wiki remains committed to making art accessible to everyone.
