## Description

ARtwin is a project that aims to enhance productivity and product quality in the European Industry and Construction 4.0 through the deployment of an Augmented Reality (AR) Cloud platform. This platform offers cutting-edge AR-based services tailored to the specific needs of the industry. The key services provided include a unified global map, localization for AR devices, 3D digital twin/BIM updates, and AR remote rendering. The platform is designed to improve operation processes by augmenting them with AR technology, leading to increased productivity and improved product quality. It enables workers to have real-time access to relevant information about the machines they are interacting with, facilitating problem detection and solving in seconds. Additionally, it allows for dynamic production line planning, eliminating the need for separate planning rooms and enabling interactive planning on the field. In the construction sector, AR devices provide workers with a consistent view of the construction, receiving constant feedback and information from their supervisor. ARtwin's platform and services are being validated through pilot use cases in both Industry and Construction 4.0. These include AR-enabled factory worker, AR-based factory planning, and better construction with AR. The project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program.
